Effective January 1, 2024, companies in the United States must report information about their beneficial owners—the individuals who ultimately own or control the company—to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

Company's Applicant Information:

A Company Applicant is the individual who directly files the document that creates, or first registers, the reporting company; and (2) the individual that is primarily responsible for directing or controlling the filing of the relevant document. If we formed your legal entity our firm will be listed as one party along with the Company Applicant who retained our legal services.

An acceptable identification document is a non-expired: State-issued driver’s license, State/local/Tribe-issued ID, U.S. passport, or foreign passport.

Beneficial Owner Information:

A “beneficial owner” is each person directly or indirectly exercising “substantial control over the entity,” or owning or controlling at least 25% of the reporting entity’s ownership interests. This may be the same person as the Applicant.
